My Background

pastimes - hiking and photography.

I spent many years in the corporate world working for a major communications equipment manufacturing company located in the suburbs of Chicago.

Upon retirement, I decided to pursue an interest I've had for many years.  When my now-grown daughters were young, I spent many evening and Saturday hours building a scale doll house for them, and then furnished the house with rather robust furniture designed to withstand rough handling.  This expanded into making another doll house, as well as a handful of scale furniture which I eventually sold locally.

As time passed, making miniature furniture was pushed further and further into the background as other interests and demands filled more and more of my time.

Recently with retirement, however, I decided to resurrect this interest, and am once again creating miniature furniture, concentrating less on robustness and more on reproducing actual pieces in detail.  Currently I am focusing on 1/12 scale miniatures, with a growing list of Victorian tables, hall trees, a wardrobe, and several other pieces.

I recently moved with my patient wife Cherie from an old Victorian house in the Historic District of La Grange, Illinois, to the sunny desert of Arizona.  I have three wonderful daughters and three enjoyable grandchildren.
